NEWS RELEASE – ROSEAU COUNTY SSTS GRANT PROGRAM
Roseau County was recently awarded a grant from the State MPCA to fix subsurface sewage treatment systems (SSTS) that have been determined to be “imminent public health threats” (IPHTs). IPHTs are considered a direct threat to human health and safety and include failing septic systems that either discharge to the ground surface, backup into a dwelling or establishment, or discharge untreated sewage directly into surface waters. Also, as specified by our Grant Agreement, qualified candidates must also meet certain low income guidelines.
As the first step in the application process, you must complete the “Roseau County SSTS Grant (IPHT) Preliminary Screening Form”, and submit it to the Roseau County Coordinator’s Office by June 11, 2021. Click here to download the screening form, or contact the Coordinator’s Office by phone (218-463-4248), or email: email@example.com.
